ALL NATURAL GRASS FED LOCAL PRAIRIE BEEF

The Beef
Our grass fed and finished beef animals are hand selected for the market with animal health being one of the main determining factors. The calves roam through grass fields, are not paralyzed to feedlots, and enjoy a great quality of life. Spring through fall, Riverbend Ranch will provide plentiful feed on the 1100 acres of timber and grasslands.
In the winter time, animals are fed only ranch grown grass hay. Riverbend Ranch is certified by the national Beef Quality Assurance program for cattle husbandry, click link below for more information on the program. The ranch uses a low stress environment and that is said to increase tenderness and maximize omega 3's. Market animals are raised on the farm from day olds to 20-24 months, maximizing finished growth coupled with young tender table meat. There is never anything un-natural added to our animals such as growth stimulants and hormones, the animals grow on their own just as they have for century’s
What is prairie beef?
Riverbend Ranch has been providing grass fed prairie beef in Thurston County since the 1930's. Our sustainable ranch maintains the natural prairies that have supported grazing animals for thousands of years. We also manage our land to support the prairie habitat for all species of animals including the federally endangered: Mazama Pocket Gopher, Oregon Spotted Frog, Taylor's Checker spot Butterfly, and Oregon Vesper Sparrow.
